The neighbor favorites

How this list works

The counts on this page come from recommendations logged in northwest suburban Facebook community groups in October 2026. Each time a business was recommended by name in those groups, it added one to its count here. Businesses are ordered by recommendation count, with ties going to the higher Google rating, then to the higher review count. This list ranks neighbor recommendations rather than ratings, so a beloved local pro can shine here on the strength of word of mouth alone. Paid Featured placement elsewhere in this directory does not affect the order on this page.

Questions homeowners ask

How is this ranking different from the rating lists?

Where do the recommendation counts come from?
